About Us

Mike McMillan, owner of McMillan Wildlife Control Service, started  trapping animals at the age of 11 with traps and stories his grandfather told him about trapping in the depression to make much needed extra income. Mike has trapped almost non stop since that time. Mike is a 1981 graduate of East Tennessee State University and a 1995 graduate of the Fur Takers of America Trappers College and Furbearers Management Course. The Fur Takers College is the most advanced trapper training available in the world. For over seven years, Mike has assisted The University of Tennessee Wildlife and Fisheries Department in the field classes on trapping and wildlife damage management.

Recently, Mike has filmed and produced the first ever wildlife control training course on DVD. This course consists of five volumes and would be useful for anyone interested in becoming a wildlife control specialist. Experience and training are especially important in obtaining a license and insurance to practice in this profession. This training course is designed to offer you that training. Ordering information is available under the "Educational DVD'S" link on the menu above.
